PRESS RELEASE

The People’ Progressive Party (PPP) at its 29 th Congress, last evening held elections for 35 members to the Central Committee and five Candidate Members. A total of 913 votes were cast from a list of 1020 delegates. Members of the new Central Committee will elect a new Executive Committee for the party at its first meeting and secretaries to the various committees, including a General Secretary. There will be more updates on the deliberations at the Congress.
