PPP DELEGATION VISITED BARTICA

A delegations from the People’s Progressive Party (PPP) paid a visit to Bartica on Wednesday, February 20, 2008. The delegation included Central and Executive members Robert Persaud, Harripersaud Nokta and Hydar Ally. The delegation visited the homes of the families affected by the recent shooting incidents which resulted in the killings of thirteen persons, including three policemen.

The delegation expressed the Party’s condolences to those who suffered at the hands of criminal elements and assured them of the Party and Government’s resolve to do everything possible to capture and bring to justice those responsible.

The delegation also met with the Regional Chairman and members of the Party Group in Bartica.
